Gaming Sunday's @ the library takes place the second and fourth Sundays of each month.  The next scheduled meetings are June 26th, July 10th and 24th, August 14th, September 11th and 25th.  We meet from 12:30-4 pm in meeting rooms 2/3 to play customizable card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, board games, and anything else people want to bring.  All ages are welcome.

Read for the win! Teen Summer Reading 2016 starts Monday June 6th.  Come to the Young Adult Department at the main library or the service desk at the branch library to pick up your record sheet(s).  The first day to turn in a record sheet for prizes is Monday June 13th.  The last day to turn in record sheets is Sunday August 7th.  Each record sheet has space for reporting 3 books read or listened to.  Each 3 books equals one prize.  While readers can wait to the end of summer to turn in all sheets, we will not accept more than one sheet per week before July 31st.  After three completed sheets are turned in and three prizes collected, names go into a final drawing.  Avid readers who wish to keep reading beyond nine books may do so for paperback books that are in print and valued at no more than $8.00.  Up to 3 books my be earned.  Readers who wish to create their own reporting sheets, or communicate by e-mail at may do so. 

There will be a Pokemon League Tournament on Saturday July 16th beginning at 9 am in Meeting Room 1.

Summer of arts and crafts for teen girls ages 11-17 years old.  We are looking for anyone who loves to meet new people, learn new things, working with their hands, as well as their brains, being creative, and most of all that don't mind the possibility getting messy.  If you don't want to go alone bring your friends to join in the fun.  The major project will be a handmade dream catcher and possible other minor projects will come along if time allows.  The dates will be Monday June 27th, July 11th, July 18th, and July 25th from 10 am to 1 pm in Meeting Room Two.  Registration is required.  Register by coming to the Young Adult Department. 

Mario Kart Races will be taking place on Wednesday July 6th and Wednesday July 27th for ages 12 and under from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm in Meeting Room One.  Check-in will begin at 12:30 pm with play beginning around 1:00 pm.  Races will end by 3:30 pm, and there will be prizes and refreshments.  Please register as space is limited.  To register stop by the Teen Department help desk or call (630) 483-4928.  This is a teen volunteer project. 

Learn HTML to design your own website.  Join us on Thursday July 7th, July 14th, July 21st, and July 28th in Meeting Room One from 1:30-3:30 pm.  Participants are expected to attend all four sessions.  For ages 9-12.  Registration is required as space is limited to 10 participants.  Register by calling the Young Adult Department at (630) 483-4928 or stopping by the Young Adult service desk.  This is a teen volunteer sponsored program. Painting with Sarah Nasir for teens will take place on Wednesday July 13th at 7:00 pm in Meeting Room One.  Sarah will show teens how to capture a scene along the Lake Michigan shore in acrylics.  For Teens ages 11 - 17 exclusively.  Limited to 12 participants and registration is required.  Register by calling the Teen Department help desk at (630) 483-4928. Smoothies and snacks for teen cooks will take place on Monday July 18th at 1:00 pm in Meeting Room One.  Chef Maddox will show you how to whip up some delicious snacks and smoothies to share with friends.  For Teens ages 11-17 exclusively.  Registration is required.  Register by calling the Teen Department help desk at (630) 483-4928. 

Yu-Gi-Oh Tag Team Card Tournament will be taking place on Saturday August 6th in rooms 2 and 3.  Ages 10 and up invited.  Arrive by 10:30 am for a deck check.  Play starts at 11 am sharp!  We will end around 2 pm.  Everyone earns new cards for their decks.  Refreshments will be served.  If you don't have a partner one will be given to you.  Check your deck at
